INTRODUCING OUR “SPONSOR A NEW  LIFE” PROGRAM

We are very excited about our newest sponsorship program, but we need your help!

What Are These Sponsorships?

Since we receive absolutely no state or federal funding, our ministry is supported 100% by gifts and donations from loving and caring people, just like you.  Monthly living expenses average about $2,000 per resident. Although students are encouraged to assist in paying their expenses while enrolled in the program through financial help from family, friends and their local church,  no applicant is ever turned away due to the lack of financial funding.  This is where our “Sponsor a New Life” program needs YOU!

We currently have several ladies in our program that are in need of financial assistance.  This program allows a group or individual to sponsor one of our ladies in need of support.  Life Challenge has made such a difference in the lives of the ladies that are in our program!  Each resident has a different and wonderful testimony and is struggling daily to achieve complete healing through Jesus Christ.

Who Are We Looking For?

Our “Sponsor a NEW Life” program is aimed at anyone in the community who would like to directly make a difference in one of our ladies’ lives by pledging a monthly amount of support for their continued recovery and growth.  This program works well for men and womens organizations, sunday school classes, youth groups or even individuals.

How Much Are The Sponsorships?

We have sponsorship levels from $30.00 to $200.00 monthly through this program.  Yes, for as little as $1.00 per day, you can make a tremendous difference in someone’s life right here in Jackson County.  We desperately need your help.  We ask that you meet with your group, class, or family and pray for our program and if the Lord leads you to sponsor one of the ladies, simply drop us an email indicating that you would like a sponsorship and in what amount, or you may call our office at (828) 631-0055.

How Are The Sponsorships Paid?

You may choose to pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually and you may pay by cash, check or credit card.  Your sponsorship is tax deductible and there is NO DOUBT that The Lord will richly bless you for your generosity.

We ask that you keep our ministry in your prayers daily and we thank you for your support.

Thank You All For Helping Us Grow!!

The staff members at Life Challenge would like to take this opportunity to thank our volunteers and supporters for their continued donation of time and/or funds to our facility.  We are blessed to have such dedicated and generous members of our community.

As of now we have 11 volunteers from local churches in our area that faithfully donate their time to teach Bible classes or spend time in the home.  We have one volunteer who comes from Wachovia to help the ladies with their finances.  Another volunteer has been doing music with them, and they are actually working on writing lyrics to a song.  We are also very grateful for the volunteers who helped us start two gardens and plant flowers here at the home.  The ladies also participate in group and individual counseling, exercise,  and life skills as a weekly curriculum.  We can always use volunteers who are blessed with various skills to come to share and teach with the ladies.

At this time, we have 4 ladies in our care at Life Challenge WNC.  We have received other applications from various locations, and are praying for other ladies to be sent to us.  The ladies gave their testimonies last month at Little Savannah Baptist Church on May 21, and Dellwood Baptist Church in Waynesville on May 24, 2009.  We took them to a Casting Crowns concert at the Asheville Civic Center on May 14.  Two of our ladies had their first visits with their families May 15-19.  We have had one resident to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and she was baptised on June 7th at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

The staff here at Life Challenge feel that all of the ladies are making significant progress.  Our main focus is to help them heal and to provide a safe, structured environment for them to do so.  We thank all of you again for your continued support to our program.
