- How long is the intake process?
It depends on the motivation of the applicant. It can be 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the session dates.
- What is the cost?
There is a non-refundable $500.00 entrance fee due upon or before arrival. Each applicant’s situation is individually reviewed. However applicant MUST bring enough money for a one way bus ticket to their home town and a extra $20.00 in case they decide to leave. Payment of fees and financial arrangements will be discussed with the intake coordinator during the admissions interview. If an applicant cannot fully meet the financial requirements of the program, we will counsel the individual and try to work out other arrangements. We have never turned away a person in need due to lack of financial funding.
- How long is the program?
Our Program is at least 12 months.
- What should I bring with me when I enter the program?
A suggested clothing list will be given to you upon acceptance into a program.
- What does a typical day look like?
Life Challenge has time for personal study, group studies, counseling, and outreach programs.
- Do you work outside the program?
We do not allow the ladies to work outside the program. However, they will work around the center and an internship may be offered at the completion of the program.
- Do I need to call in weekly?
Yes, you will need to call to express interest in entering our residential treatment facility. We ask that all applicants call once a week. This shows true commitment to recovery.
- How many women can you serve at one time?
Life Challenge can hold up to ten women.
- What denomination is Life Challenge?
Life Challenge is a non-denominational program. We believe that all you need is a true relationship with Jesus Christ. We do attend a Baptist church through the week. There are chances to visit other churches when we do programs and when they go on their scheduled home visits.
- Does Life Challenge allow visitation?
We do not have a regular scheduled visitation day or time. We invite the families of the women for special events such as baptisms, benefits, etc.
